Septum

A piercing of the nose’s internal septum. The piercing is performed in a thin part of the septum, avoiding dense cartilage. As such, it’s considered painless and heals well. This type of piercing is now at the peak of its popularity.

A septum is one of the few piercings where rings or circular barbells can be safely placed in a fresh puncture. A Banana is not suitable for this piercing, as it may cause distortions.

 In the septum, both fresh and healed, you can install a BCR ring, clicker ring, segmental ring, or any circular barbell. For a fresh puncture, jewelry of 8 to 10 mm, is best, but after healing you can wear jewelry of absolutely any size, from 6 mm right up to 12 or even 14 mm.
